Though his scoring records have been obliterated by Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux, former Boston Bruins/New York Rangers center Phil Esposito is still regarded by hockey cognoscenti as one of the greatest offensive players in the history of the game. He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame, as is his brother Tony Esposito who was a standout goaltender for the Chicago Blackhawks.

A native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Esposito was signed by the Chicago Blackhawks as a teenager. After some time in junior hockey, he was called up to the NHL in’64 quickly earning a spot on the teams top line between Bobby Hull and Marcel Dionne. In’67, Esposito was traded to the Boston Bruins along with Ken Hodge and Fred Stanfield.

It was as a Bruin that ‘Espo’ began his onslaught against the NHL record book.. In’69, he became the first NHL player to top the 100 point mark (combined goals and assists) for the season”he obliterated the record with 126 points, which would be the first of six times that hed top the century mark. He topped 100 points in five straight seasons between’71 and’75, missing a sixth straight season by a single point with 99 in’70.

In the’70-71 season, Esposito scored 76 goals to smash the NHL’s single season scoring record. That record stood for over a decade until Wayne Gretzky scored 79 for the Edmonton Oilers in’81-82. Gretzky also broke Espositos single season points record of 154. Perhaps the most amazing element of Espositos game was the frequency with which he put the puck on net”Espo had 550 shots on goal in’70-71. No one has since come close”in fact, just last Alexander Ovechkin of the Washington Capitals became the first player to come within 100 shots of Espositos mark.

In’75, Esposito was traded with Brad Park to the New York Rangers for Brad Park, Joe Zanussi and Jean Ratelle. He had slowed somewhat, but was still enough of a valuable player and team leader that he was named the Rangers’ captain. He remained a very dangerous scoring threat until the end of his career.

After his retirement in’75, moved into the executive suite. He served as the GM of the Rangers before helping secure an expansion team for Tampa, Florida in’92. Esposito served as the President and GM of the Tampa Bay Lightning until’98.

The oldest fight sport adage in the world is ‘styles make fights’. For that reason, no one knew quite what to expect in Saturday’s WEC Interim Lightweight Championship battle between Donald Cerrone and Ben Henderson. Henderson was known for his dominating wrestling skills, while Cerrone has a reputation as a punishing striker. Instead of being a clash of styles, however, it was an instance where the differing approaches of the two competitors complimented each other perfectly. The result was a ‘fight of the year’ candidate bout that Henderson won by a narrow-yet unanimous-decision.

Henderson opened the fight with a takedown, but quickly got caught in a guillotine choke attempt. He extricated himself from this predicament only to find himself in a triangle choke that appeared for a moment to be a potential fight ending submission. That would not be the case, however, and Henderson would take control in the last half of the round with his powerful takedowns and ‘ground and pound’ punching assault. The almost even first round would prove to be the decisive frame of the fight.

Rounds two and three were all Henderson, as he took Cerrone down almost at will and began to pummel him on the ground. Cerrone managed a couple of submission attempts from the bottom, and did what he could to keep Henderson off of him with upkicks but nowhere near enough to salvage either round. At times, Cerrone looked downright clueless as to what tactical approach to take.

The tide would turn again in the fourth round, as Cerrone began to time Henderson’s takedown attempts. He became much more difficult to get to the ground, as well as administering punishment of his own after stuffing takedowns with punches and knee strikes. Later in the frame, Cerrone came close to ending the fight when he locked in a nasty and unorthodox choke that WEC commentator Frank Mir described as ‘almost an inverted rear naked choke’. After some tense moments, Henderson was able to escape. Cerrone would also control the final round, evading Henderson’s takedowns while scoring with his striking. He had another potential fight ending submission attempt in the fifth round, as he locked in an arm bar and appeared to have good leverage as he twisted Henderson’s arm into a nasty angle. Nevertheless, Henderson was able to escape and finish off the fight.

The decision itself was somewhat surprising, with Henderson winning all three judges’ scorecards by identical 48-47 scores. He’d clearly won rounds two and three, while Cerrone was the obvious winner of rounds four and five. This meant that all three judges had given the edge to Henderson in the first round, favoring his takedowns and ground punching attack over Cerrone’s two early submission attempts. (The Savage Science scored the fight 48-47 for Cerrone).

Henderson will now face WEC Lightweight Champion Jamie Varner to unify the titles. Varner entered the cage after the decision was announced to ‘cut a promo’ on the winner, and suggested the fight take place in December in Phoenix, Arizona though neither the date nor venue has been finalized.

It is a tedious job to look for a plumber who will come and repair a broken tap, pipe or to think about the gravest, your boiler. These days, there are quite a few Las Vegas Plumber choices out there who are ready to help you out but when the problem arises you are not too focused about getting the best plumber. In places like Las Vegas, there are hundreds of plumbers who are available on just one call but it is wiser to look for one before a problem occurs. This will practically lessen your worries to half their original because a person does become frustrated when an issue emerges out of the blue.

When considering a plumber then personal recommendation is considered as the best. So, first try to ask the neighbors or friends who live in your locality, about the plumber they could have used before. A plumbing service, or firm, with a great reputation is really worth a great deal too many.

Remodeling a house is far from easy, so when you are looking to find a decent plumber you may need to be sure you are right the first instance. Integrity and trust are perhaps the most important qualities in a plumbing professional. Without qualities such as that, you will end up spending much more than you wanted.

The worst thing you will have to face is the sewer backing up into your basement which will ruin it. Initially this might be a bit cliche, but it is a required step in finding plumbing services worthy of your time, is to ask your friends or family.

The key point to remember here is that the plumber you are hiring should have a good reputation. One last factor to be considered is asking your estate agent about all the plumbers in your area. Normally such people have sound connections with the plumbers.

After selecting a suitable plumber, call him up. Telling your contact number and address on the answering machine will not be a good idea. Moreover, you should ask and record his license number with you. Make sure that that the person is well-qualified. This is specifically important for your safety. Also, if you are asking someone to fix your boiler, he needs to be educated enough for that.

Finally, when it comes to negotiating the price, do try to do it before the job begins. Most of the time, you will be provided with a price quote although if problems occur while the job is being done, you will be charged more. Additionally, it is also worth asking for and looking at the warranties and guarantees from the Las Vegas Plumber first.

Working with the knowledgeable and experienced Las Vegas Plumber, you will be able to keep your home or office system running smoothly. When you work with a professional plumber in Las Vegas, you will find a dependable and reliable individual waiting to assist you.

The businessmen all over the world have found out that providing a healthy and ergonomic work place for their employees will ensure better success rates in almost all fields. These businessmen would pay a huge sum of money and invest a lot of their budgets in improving the fit out of the work place. This will make their employees feel more at home while performing their jobs. The idea of office fitout is a big business right now, as investors have found out the great gains they have achieved in the past years fro just spending a small sum of money redesigning their work places.

In the past, companies used to lock hundreds of employees in small rooms and in crowded buildings. This has proved a big deal of failure, both when it comes to the activity and productivity of the individual workers and in the enterprises success by the end of each quarter.

The use of the old cubicle design used in almost all offices and banks is not considered successful anymore. Every employee can talk for hours about the boring time he spends every day stuck in a matchbox like cubicle while staring at his paper work for hours. The boredom that attacks these employees will lead to less overall outcome and activity of each individual. In the end, it will be a global loss for almost everybody in this work place. Another disadvantage concerning this system, is that people will tend to be lonelier, the group activity and team work will certainly decline.

So if you are a business man, our advice is try to keep an eye on how your workers are feeling while in their working hours. Having happier and more comfortable employees will make better benefits for almost every body. Many specialists will help you find out better and more ergonomic designs. These designs will provide you with what would be more elegant yet more efficient as a work place, leading to better and more successful enterprise.

The idea of office fit out is simple enough to contain many different parts of the office design. It is a complete renovation of the ceilings, the floors, the furniture, the IT services, the meeting rooms and recreation areas.

Office fit out service providers will give you a vast range of choices and options for you to pick from. All you have to do is decide, which is more efficient and more successful when it comes to your exact field of working. Then, they will give you a printed plan of the whole project so you can have in mind what changes will actually take place.

Once you have reached this point, you will start facing the step of having the change live and in action. The service providers will make sure that you actually know the time it will take to have the exact changes around. They will make sure that your work can run smoothly in the same time the changes are being done.

Office fitout is an innovative trend that will help your work place improve in its looks, function and production. You will be able to obtain the success you need while your employees are content and innovative.

Using the services of office fit-out Brisbane region will help to increase productivity. Employees who receive the benefits of an office fit out Brisbane area enjoy the better work environment and flow.

Network monitoring is a procedure that notifies the network officer by using email or other alarms during the regular checking of the computer network for problems such as system failure are discovered. It detects any overloaded or crashed servers, network connections or other equipment by means of the network monitoring system. Most systems these days have these kinds of devices to keep track of the network. Checking the network could include looking at HTTP pages, HTTPS, SNMP, FTP,SMTP,POP3,IMAP,DNS, SSH, TELNET, SSL, TCP, ping, SIP, UDP, Media Streaming and an array of other ports depending on the system’s routine.

You will find metrics by which a computer system might be measured. Response time, availability and uptime are the most typical even though some measure consistency and reliability. The present inclusion of WAN optimization products has already affected most network monitoring tools, especially with measuring precise end to end response times due to the limit of round trip visibility. However with the present setup of the monitor network equipment, specialists have discovered a way to decrease their effects and maximize the monitoring of the units.

Measurements which handle network monitoring include network tomography and route analytics. Network tomography basically relates to examining the health of different links in a network using probes that go from end to end, dispatched by agents situated at vantage spots in the network. At the same time, route analytics are methods, system, algorithms and equipment which check the routing posture of systems. This is because improper routing causes undesirable performance degradation or downtime in the system. By effectively monitoring these variants, we can figure out the performance of the network.

Each time a system slows down or fails, the system should inform the network manager of the incident. Notification could be made via an email message, pager alert, alarm or mobile phone call. The network officer should be advised of overloaded systems, failed servers, lost network connections, virus or malware attacks, and power outages. These notifications ought to take a high priority when it comes to the network administrator. Nevertheless, when it comes to power outages, it is important to note that your system should have back up power because if you lose electrical power there it could affect the notification process.

The network monitor system is generally made through a “ping”, or a test to every computer in the network. In the event the system does not respond or takes too long to do this, then there has to be a notification to the network administrator regarding the issue. Pings are designed to be responded to right away. There are more monitoring network devices that take regular virtual shots of the network’s workflow. In the event of irregularities in the workflow, the system will log it and if there is a serious threat to the network, a report should be made to the network administrator. Hence, regular check ups should be scheduled to maintain the performance of your network.

The multi tool can be defined in its simplest form as a simple pocket knife. This is a one or two blade tool that will fit in your pocket. As technology has evolved and improved and the needs have changed, so have the functions and designs of the pocket knife. The multi tool now comes equipped with numerous implements and blades. The uses of the multi tool are endless and include wire crimpers, pliers, scissors, and tweezers. When you decide which one to buy, you should consider how many tools you really need, its overall quality, and the price.

The cost of a brand name multi tool is considerable more than that of a generic brand. However, they will frequently have superior quality and a better warranty that will give you years of use. The Leatherman brand of multi tool was one of the first in the line and is a recognizable brand among. They offer numerous models that range in price from the low $20s to over $100.

These multi tools are made from stainless steel, come with either a leather holder or a cloth and usually offer over 20 tools in each multi tool. The Gerber multi tool that cost in the $50 to $60 range comes with needle nose pliers, 3 flat blade screwdrivers, bottle opener, can opener, and a serrated knife. The multi tool features a nylon cover that is in included in order to keep dirt away and a lock for a safety feature. This item is 5 “long, weighs just over 8 ounces, and is made of stainless steel.

For less than $10 you can get a multi too from Tool Basic that has 14 tools including a serrated knife and blades, pliers, basic screwdrivers, and needle nose pliers.

Office furniture, for the most part, follows a general design. Tables, chairs, and desks all have “legs”, and file cabinets have a certain structure as well. The purpose of the decor is visual pleasure; appealing yet user friendly at the same time. A variety of shapes and sizes are available to meet the needs of employees and customers alike.

When initially purchasing equipment to satisfy an office’s needs, take into consideration what the services offered are. Will everyday people be clients or are other professionals catered to? Frequently, meetings are more successful when both the worker and customer feel at ease. Laypeople are accustom to respectable, library-like surroundings. Corporate executives tend to interact in environments that display refined tastes. Considering who the clients are, in general, can be beneficial when picking out permanent items.

Anyone can decorate any space when it comes right down to it. However, often times interior decorators are asked to help with the layout of professional buildings. Such individuals have a working knowledge of how color’s compliment each other and how to make the most of the room available. Agents and other workers usually perform better when they know they work in a well-kept, well-designed place.

Sometimes a person such as a sole-proprietor opts to decorate him or herself. When this is the case magazines and books make for excellent references. Great ideas can be found in these resources. Similar pieces of art and furnishings can be found at a variety of different stores.

Unless a charity or private people offer donations for needed items, everything will need charged on credit or purchased outright. All operating businesses have a budget to work with; some are larger and some are smaller. This does need to be reflected on beforehand. However, there are seller’s that specialize in products for the workplace. It is common for discounts to be given on bulk purchases.

Large or small, offices are able to be supplied with ideal furnishings. Desks, chairs, couches, bookshelves, file cabinets, tables, lamps, and drafting tables are only some of the more common components of a company’s interior that is open for business. There are seller’s out there that make it their profession to supply other businesses with commonly needed equipment. These company’s can be a great help. Otherwise, a company president or other agent of the business will find it necessary to pick and choose many pieces from several different stores.

Sometimes owner’s prefer to have their wall paintings reflect their services. Occasionally these will need to be custom made. If not custom made, there are other options available. Nautical themes, for example, as well as countless other styles can be found in paintings that are appropriate. It all depends on the type of work performed and the customers that are visiting.

Office furniture plays a large role in the success of a company. People are visual by nature and do make judgments. A clean, well-organized space is mandatory for many client’s to hold a business in high regard. Broken items and full trash cans tend to make potential customers walk away before a meeting ever takes place. The appearance of an office space is very important. Environment must be considered when dealing with the public or strictly other businesses.

For the most attractive office space, choose furniture desks that match your decor. Many styles of furniture desks Brisbane area are available from which to choose.

On January 31, 2000, the historic Mapes Hotel in Reno was imploded by 75 pounds of explosives tucked into the art-deco structures support columns. The destruction of the Mapes put an end to years of efforts to preserve the building via lawsuits, redevelopment proposals, and grass roots action. The National Trust for Historic Preservation took up the cause of the Mapes, and challenged the destruction in a suit that eventually reached the Nevada Supreme Court.

While the efficacy and justification of demolishing the Mapes is debatable, one thing that is not is the glorious history of the hotel. It was built in’47, and signaled the start of the modern era of casino gambling. Despite the notoriety of Bugsy Siegel and the Flamingo in Las Vegas, it was the Mapes that became the first building in the nation to have a hotel, casino and live entertainment under one roof. It also became the hotel of choice for celebrities staying in Northern Nevada. Clark Gable and Marilyn Monroe stayed at The Mapes during the filming of ‘The Misfits’. Joseph McCarthy, America’s famed anti-Communist crusader, admitted to a reporter over cocktails in the Mapes Lounge that he really didn’t have a list of Communists in the US despite his frequent and vitriolic insistence to the contrary.

During the ‘Rat Pack’ era of the 50′s and 60′s it became along with the Cal-Neva Lodge in Lake Tahoe the place to be seen in Northern Nevada. The 11th floor, window walled Sky Room Lounge hosted performances by a roster of entertainment legends including Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., Dean Martin, Louis Prima, Keely Smith, Milton Berle and Mae West. Downtown Reno struggled during the’60′s and 70′s but the Mapes continued to prosper. The hotel finally closed in’82, due to financial problems experienced by the Mapes Family brought about by their other Northern Nevada casino holdings.

While the last twenty years brought an amazing boom in the population and economy of Southern Nevada, the Northern part of the state didn’t see much of it at all. For that reason, the urgency of destroying the Mapes is even more questionable. In the Las Vegas area, its easy to justify the demolition of older hotels with simple economics–the older properties simply can’t compete in the current mega-resort dominated marketplace. Furthermore, the insane valuation of the land on which they sit makes it financially unfeasible to preserve them as pop culture museums.

This is not the case in Reno, where land and buildings for development in virtually every casino area are abundant. The city argued that the land on which the Mapes stood was necessary for their redevelopment efforts–a somewhat absurd position given the realities of downtown Reno and the lack of any real development on the property since the demolition. Despite receiving a number of viable concepts for the Mapes Building, the City Redevelopment Authority rejected all of them and the Mapes was destined for demolition.

The role of the City Redevelopment Authority was questioned throughout the process. Overlooking the Truckee River, the hotel was on a prime location between the downtown casino area and the riverfront district. A number of sound financial proposals were presented that would preserve the integrity of the structure including condominiums, office space, and perhaps most viable, upscale senior apartments. Oddly, all of these proposals were turned down by the citys Redevelopment Agency which continued to maintain that demolition was the only viable option despite copious evidence to the contrary.

Following the 2000 demolition, the lot remained vacant for over a year until a temporary ice skating rink was hastily constructed the following winter. The site now houses a permanent ice skating rink which, while not a bad use for the land, isn’t the sort of game changing improvement suggested by the City Redevelopment Agency and their adamant insistence that the building be demolished. To the contrary, it appears they had no specific plan or even general idea of what to do with the land but for some reason wanted to see the hotel come down. This has led to all manner of speculation, ranging from financial self interest to a rumor that the structure was ‘haunted’ and needed to be destroyed to forestall future paranormal activity in Washoe County. Whatever the reason, the city of Reno lost a valuable landmark that played a significant part in the economic growth of the entire state.

Why Not Sue for Defamation

Why Not Sue for Defamation

Nothing hurts like an insult. Usually it passes away and is forgotten. But not if it happens online. The Internet remembers all that stuff, and people often find negative things about them leaping to the top of search results. If you own a business, this can really hurt you. If you’re trying to start a business or get a job, your reputation may be seriously besmirched.

On the other hand, good stuff sticks around forever too. And the Internet will certainly hold on to that, if you’ve got it out there. Which is why in the last few years, reputation repair services have begun springing up, ready to undo the damage to your business by reminding the world how swell you are.

Sue for Defamation of Reputation Repair

In the great popularity contest of the Internet, links are the most important friends you can have. The reputation repair services combat the negative content by adding content that has more links than the bad sites, which forces those sites off the first pages of the search engines, all the way down a hundred pages or more.

Once the negative stuff is dropped down into the search underworld, it’s all up to you from there on out. But people who search for you will get a better impression of you, that’s for sure. And you didn’t have to take anyone to court or shed any tears to restore your reputation. It’s a bit of electric house-cleaning, some light dusting of the search results.

Try Reputation Repair Instead of Suing for Defamation

Even on the Internet, nice guys sometimes finish last. Or at least in the search results. You may not have negative content to push down, but suppose you want to make your name known. These services can float you up to the top using search engine optimization, effectively giving you a name where before you were somewhere way down there.

It’s a strange wonderland of opportunities, the Internet. And like that place Alice ended up in, there are all kinds of rules that make not exactly make the most sense at first. But since you’re here, you might as well learn them. It’s pretty important, especially if you have a business, or just an online self you’d like to see protected. Keep your wits about you, is what I’m saying, and maintain control of that online self you’ve been cultivating; there are plenty of people who will be glad to take control of it for you.

Today’s energy conscious climate has motivated many to do what they can to become more efficient and conserve energy and money. Unfortunately this same climate has prompted others to take advantage of unsuspecting consumers’ wishes to save energy and reduce expenses.

Companies that tout power factor improvement (kVAR correction) and transient voltage suppression are a good example of this bad trend. Lately we are seeing more and more of these companies cropping up and feel it is time to set the record straight.

First, transient voltage surge suppression (TVSS) plays a valuable role in improving power quality to protect sensitive equipment inside a facility. However, TVSS does not save energy. TVSS’s are only active a tiny fraction of a second to protect against voltage surges which only last for less than a millisecond. To actually reduce energy consumption the TVSS would need to actually cut power consumption for an extended period of time which is not what they are designed to do. Again, TVSS is important to protect sensitive electrical equipment but buyers should avoid vendors promising, or even guaranteeing, that they will reduce energy consumption.

Now what about vendors who claim that improving power factor will save 15% or 20% or 30% of energy consumption and corresponding cost? This one is a little trickier.

For residential applications, power factor does nothing to save energy because the typical home already has an average power factor of about 0.97 which is almost the perfect power factor of 1 or unity. In addition, the device (called a capacitor) is placed at the main circuit breaker. According to IEEE 5.5.3.3 capacitors must be situated at or near the respective inductive loads to reduce power system losses by reducing heat and distribution losses known as I2R losses.

So what about commercial and industrial facilities using power factor correction to reduce energy costs? It is perfectly appropriate for a company that is incurring penalties or a kVA billing structure from the utility company to improve the facility’s overall power factor by employing a capacitor bank at the main service entrance or individual capacitors at or near the respective motor loads. Doing so will eliminate the power factor penalties and/or reduce the kVA demand charges on the utility bill which can save significant money and provide a significant ROI on the investment.

But what about power factor correction reducing kWh consumption? IEEE also tells us that I2R losses only account for 2 to 5% of the total load in a facility. Simple math tells us that it would be against the laws of physics to get the 15% to 30% energy reduction claimed by some vendors. Think about it. Even if your facility had 5% distribution losses and you could correct 100% of the problem via power factor correction at every load (which can’t be done) you would still only save 5% at the most. No where near the claims of some capacitor vendors and manufacturers.

All that said, power factor correction when done properly will eliminate utility penalties and kVA demand charges, improve facility power quality, increase electrical system capacity, and save a little energy when applied to the appropriate motor loads.

So make an investment in transient voltage surge suppression and power factor correction when appropriate and necessary. But caveat emptor!
